Amex Approval - 61 Months to the Day!

I have been waiting for this day for quite some time. 61 months (to the exact date) since I filed my BK7, I applied for my first AMEX in over 30 years (I had one in college but closed it after a few years). I had been gardening since Xmas, just biding my time for this date. I actually thought I might need to wait until tomorrow (just to be safe) but my calendar reminder popped up and I went with it.

I travel a bit with Delta and my decided to go with the Delta SkyMiles Reserve, both for the elevated status but also for the club access and perks. I can easily get more from the rewards than the annual fee. I got a starting limit of $5K, which I hope will grow with time.

So psyched to be back in AMEX's good graces!

Hahaha, yes. I have to hit the spend to get the sub, but am already thinking....what if I just move all of my monthly spend over to the card ($2-3K a month) and do that for the next 6 months and see what kind of CLI I can get!

Congrats and great plan. Don't forget about that first CLI request after 90/91 days. Put your spend on the card and go for the gold 15k in 90/91 days.
