Discover Secured

So i burned discover in 2017 for 15k. I did not go the bk route but i did oay off a couple tradlines like cap 1 snd my credit union. Discover dropped off my report 2 months ago and i got an email saying see if im pre approved with no hard pull. First, they did do a hard pull but approved me. Im in shock knowing how bad i burned them. I alrwady put $500 on jt this morning an am waiting for the card. I guess they do forgive. I will not do foolishness like last time. Cross my fingers and hope to die if i do. 😂. Any advise with discover securedis welcomed. Still have 6 baddies out of 45. About 40 positive tradlines thats at least 8-10 years old

As unfortunate as it is to have those previous derogatories, I hope that you're in a much better place now to stay on top of all of your finances in setting yourself up to course correct for an abundance of success.

I don't have any information to offer regarding advice on their secure card process, but I wish you the best of luck, anyways!

Congrats on the approval! Hopefully you graduate in 7 months. I was approved for the same card in March. Every month discover will send you an email whether you are still on track to graduate, which a nice touch by discover.

Im not exactly sure when things went south in 2016. However, after closing a business with former partner issues started. I truly learned a valuable lesson when it comes to credit which is to never bite off more than one can chew.

Thats good to hear so i can know what to expect i will add another $500 to deposit with the hope they will raise the limit.
