DP: Citi Strata Premier Approval!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share that I was approved for a Citi Strata Premier with a SL of $3,900. Although the limit is a little lower than I expected, I plan to use this card for the down payment on a car to take advantage of the easy SUB. The current SUB is $750, which seems to be one of the highest available right now. I was quite nervous when I was applying for the card, but thankfully everything turned out well!!

They only checked my Equifax report. Just to be safe, I had frozen Experian to prevent any unnecessary checks. My FICO 8 score is 743, but the score they gave me was 758, which was a pleasant surprise! Don't know where it comes from. This is my first account with Citi. I've had 2 credit inquiries in the last 2 years, with the most recent one in September 2023.

Although I was initially aiming for the US Bank Altitude Reserve as my goal card, I didn't feel confident about getting approved for it, especially after using their pre-approval tool and being denied for the Shopping Cash Rewards card. Overall, I'm very happy with the results! Let's just hope the auto down payment doesn't get flagged as fraud! lol

the score is EQ Bankcard score 8, you'll get that free monthly in your citi account!

I noticed that there used to be a pre-approval tool at the top of the card page, but now it's not there. I remember seeing a Reddit post that had direct pre-approval links for some cards if you're interested.
