Venture one Card

Since capital one is moving my Walmart card to a Quicksilver card and I already have a Quicksilver card I'll be canceling the Walmart card (only got it for the 5%cash back at Walmart anyway.
I Decided to apply for the capital one Venture one card to take advantage of there 0% interest for 15 months because I'm planning a trip soon.
I Got approved today but with a small starting limit of $1000 was hoping for at least $5000 starting is there anyway to call and have them reconsider a higher limit or can they merge one of my other capital one cards to the new venture one card.
I have a Capital one Quicksilver with a $9000.00 limit with a $50.00 balance

and a capital one Savor one card with a $10000.00 limit with a balance of $250.00 on it

and my my Walmart card with a $1300.00 limit and balance of 160.00 on it which I'm paying off in couple days to cancel the card.

Congrats- being that your Walmart was just converted to that QS, C1 probably won't allow CL reallocation to your new Venture card. However, give them a call and ask.

Thanks I think I'll try and call them tomorrow and see if they can move the Walmart limit to the Venture one card or increase the limit on the Venture one.
only reason I didn't call to move the Walmart card to a venture card was I read I wouldn't get the 0% interest promo.

I wonder if I should try hitting request CLI now

CLI requests from C1 are computated and are SP. It would't hurt requesting a CLI thru the app but more than likely will not be granted this soon.

Thanks just bummed it's a low SL as I have a trip planned in jun next year and was going to take advantage of that 0% interest

I may try and call tomorrow and see if the can merge my Walmart card with the Venture one card.

Anyone ever do this with capital one before

In my experience they're very inflexible with these kinds of things. Here's what I've tried to do:

-Had a Venture card for 1.5/2 years. Kept calling them every 6 months or so to try and upgrade to a Venture X. Nope. Sorry, not an offer that is available to you. Finally I just went for the Venture X and got pre-approved for 20k limit, plus 90k bonus miles. (glad I did)

-So then I had a regular Venture card I really didn't want anymore. Kinda pointles if you have the X. I called them and they offered to change it to quicksilver. But I wanted a Savor or Savor One for the dining. Unfortunately no, they wouldn't do that, just the quicksilver.

-I also have the walmart card, and they informed me it would be changed to a Quicksilver sometime this year. I called and asked if it could be SavorOne, since I already have a Quicksilver. Nope, sorry they aren't offering that.

So there you have it. Not very flexible.

I tried the request CLI and it said they will let me know in 2-3 business days so 🤷 what they will do.
I might just transfer my $9000.00 credit limit from my quicksilver to the Venture one card if they let me.
i see on my quicksilver and Savor one I can transfer limits but I didn't see it on the venture card yet not sure if it because the Venture one account is new and I still haven't received the physical card yet 🤷‍♂️

I don't know why any one wants to apply for capital one's creditcards they do triple pulls and they are so AI driven you can't talk to any one when you need to have things change or sone done to make your life easer. I do have 3 cards with them the Walmart mc which came over from Synchrony bank with 19K and Quick Silver mc with a 4700 limit open 2008 it has never grone.
