Navy Flagship 6K CLI to $80,000 Max

Another 6 months has gone by, and it was time to take one last spin of the wheel. It's been a 5-year slow and steady process, but finally time to make the last CLI request.

So here it is...approved! It's a wrap, bringing me to Navy's max allowable unsecured credit limit.

$6000 CLI --> $80,000

195 days since the last CLI (I have scheduled mine for 195 days to be on the conservative side, and have stuck with my own recommendation of waiting at least 190 days, not 181)
Applied via browser
Not instant, received a pending decision message...Received an approval email 1 day later.

Good question @Gregory1776, based on my experience and other noted DP's, I don't believe income level is a big factor in getting these steady ongoing increases (I'm in low 200's for what it's worth). It appears that relationship is important, including having some other products outside of checking and savings. My relationship with NFCU is at the 5 year mark, with checking/savings and a tiny $500 CLOC. I've also held a certificate with them for a while, letting it roll over each year.

Interestingly, as I type this, I just logged into verify a couple details and notice that I no longer have the CLOC anymore. I think they may have closed it out when giving me the final bump on the card. Will have to check that out...

CLOC dissapears since they updated their app/website until you use it. I emailed them a billion times and there's nothing they could do to get it to show, check one of your credit reports it shows as a line of credit you should see a NFCU one with $500 limit. I actually started using mine a couple times recently and it popped up and shows in my account all the way at the bottom now even though the balance is $0.

Thank you @c00mtg, I think this one's about as high as I can go for any single card. I've mostly reached my TCL with the bigger lenders, but income isn't going to support much higher.

Great to know @toddc, thanks for clarifying this! I still see it in my report, so it might be worth using a small amount to get it to show up.

Actually, @PullingMeSoftly, I see two opportunities for high limit cards if you were to choose to consolidate with either Chase or AMEX. Your three Chase cards could be placed onto one single card easily with CL of $98.7K! And your three AMEX personal cards could be $65K. Of course, that is absent of any CL they might make you leave behind donor cards, but still something close to that! (I've found that Chase will allow transfer of the entire limit if you leave a card idle for at least six months prior to closure.) But I know you may find value in the various accounts beyond the single high CL.
