Approved: Barclays AA Aviator Red Mastercard

So, on New Year's Day, I got the itch for 80,000 AA miles for just making one purchase and the $95 annual fee. I was approved for $4000, but security flagged me to send in my ID. Tonight, after sending in my tax return, my bank statement, the front and back of my driver's license, and my social security card, security finally cleared me and my account is open. I'm told once I receive the card I can request a credit limit increase. I didn't tell them that I was planning to buy a stick of gum and then sock drawer the card. Meanwhile, I'll put those miles to good use.

They pulled Transunion only, 753. I've opened 2 other accounts in the past 24 months, so this will make me 3/24 available to apply for the CSP later this year.

Everyone that I've talked to has been very helpful. Nobody offshore. But they must have technology from 15 years ago. I had to go up to FedEx to fax them. If it was a card that I planned using I would have said no thank you a while back. In some ways, I'll miss my weekly calls to Barclays to see what they need now.

Barclays switched to SP CLI requests last year....however, I am not certain you can immediately request one when you receive the card. I guess it won't hurt to ask. It can be done online in the app or on their website, calling is not necessary and hopefully your 3rd degree of verifications are behind you.
