US Bank State Farm Visa approval

Hello, I was just approved for the US Bank State Farm Visa Signature card with a $1000 credit limit. I am a little disappointed over the credit limit since I was hoping for at least $5000. It pulled TransUnion and my last known TU Fico8 score is 741. I think my recent inquiries hurt me, I have 4 within the last year (although not all with TransUnion). They sent me a pre-approval letter in the mail. The selling points of this card are $150 cash back if I spend at least $500 in the first 90 days, and it gives 3% back on car insurance premiums and 2% back on most other purchases. I will use it to pay car insurance.

Congrats on the card, although it wasn't the SL you were looking for.

To get the 3% CB for Car Insurance, does that have to been with State Farm, or can it be used with another insurer like Farmers, USAA, etc?

The fine print says: "You will earn 3% cash back for every $1 of the first $4,000 spent annually on Purchases classified as insurance, starting with your January statement and 1% cash back after that". So, I think it is for any insurance premium, not just car insurance, and not just for State Farm. I am getting ready to move my insurance to Travelers and I hope to get the 3% cashback on that.

Correct. The insurance category covers all auto insurance regardless of State Farm and it includes health insurance premiums.
