Huntington Bank CLI's totaling 35k Who knew

After applying for a cli with BofA and being denied AGAIN, I decided to try my luck with Huntington Bank. I assumed my max limit per card with them was 12k based on previous experience (https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/Huntington-Bank-auto-CLI/m-p/6624948#M841316). I had been working the one card every six months to try and get it to 12k. On this card I applied for a cli and it was instantly approved for an additional 5k taking the limit over 12k to $15,850. I thought to myself that I must have broken the glass ceiling with Huntington so I said let me try for a cli on all my Huntington cards. Much to my surprise, every cli was instantly approved for an additinal 5k across the board. I'm going to wait one more month with BofA and if no dice I'm moving my money out and just keep their two credit cards.

Congrats on the 7 CLIs! I wonder if the changes in the economy the last few years have resulted in a policy change at Huntington and they upped their CL max.

Today I learned one can hold Seven Huntington Bank cards and get CLI on all of em at once.

That's fantastic, congrats! Nice exposure with Huntington, and that's great they increased all 7 cards at once. I'd be curious what they would do if you tried to double dip and ask for another increase right away (at least on one card to start with)? Assuming these were all SP's as well?

Thanks. I'm sure it would be a denial because they were faithfully only increasing the one card which was below 12k only every 6 months. If I attempted early it would be a denial due to a recent credit line change. This last time it actually went beyond 6 months (last cli was 9/15/24) and cli was denied in March and April 2025. I'm tempted to apply for another Voice card just to see what would happen but I will skip that. Seven cards with them is more than enough.

They would probably shut me down lol lol. I only have the credit cards with them. No additional accounts whatsoever.

There must be a story about having 7 cards with huntington.

Huntington may be changing. I've had a card with them for a little over two years. I've been approved small clis I've requested every six months. Just last month, I received a surprise cli from them without a request.
