Comenity AAA Daily Advantage Approval - $20k

I applied for the AAA Daily Advantage Signature Visa on the 14th of this month, along with (2) other cards that I was approved for the same day. Unfortunately I got the dreaded "7-10 days" message and didn't receive any emails or mail until last Friday. The letter I received stated that my credit was frozen and they couldn't pull my file, so I immediately called them and let them know that all (3) of my major bureaus were thawed and that I DID receive a hard inquiry on Equifax. Apparently they use SageStream/LexisNexis/Innovis to verify identity, which I had frozen at the time of my application, unfortunately. I immediately thawed them and I was then asked to provide documents through e-mail or snail mail. I chose e-mail, and I had not heard anything back. I then received another letter today stating I needed to send in documents again, so I called the "Account Protection" phone number (which is almost impossible to find online) and spoke with someone who verified they received my documents and asked a few questions and sent me a text message with a code. As soon as I read him back the code I was instantly approved for $20k and the card will be here with 5 business days. The reason this is SO long winded is because I learned that if you use a Google Voice number and/or have your 3rd party bureaus locked than this IS what will happen to you too, if applying with Comenity/Bread Financial. I have never had any other credit card company use those bureaus before, so I just always kept them locked. At the end of the day I was APPROVED, but it was definitely a long process. I will leave the number to call below, as it's kind of a secret number that I found to expedite the process. Good luck to everyone with the approvals/CLI's!

FICO 8 score was mid 800's on all bureaus

AAOA: 4 years 2 months

Income: $70k/annually

I believe Synchrony (and maybe Cap1) use those secondary bureaus for authentication purposes as well

I'll definitely be thawing ALL bureaus when applying, from here on out. This process was a PAIN, but definitely worth it in the end.

Yes, the Travel Advantage is another great card, but I wanted the 3% categories for pharmacy, wholesale clubs and streaming services. I strictly use my Citi Custom Cash for gas, so the 5% for groceries just made sense for my particular setup. I was quite surprised with my SL, but I'll take it! Good luck with your application if you decide to grab that Travel Advantage!

Just keep an eye on your rewards for the streaming category — I found that while Disney+ and Netflix correctly gave 3% back using my Daily Advantage, YouTube Premium did not. (I've since switched to dedicating my Citi Custom Cash to streaming and YouTube does code correctly there.)

Thanks for the heads up about YouTube Premium. I found that it codes for Internet services with my Amex BCE, cause I had an offer and I received the bonus for my YouTube Premium sub. Not sure if it's just an Amex thing or if it's on YouTube and how it codes.

I live in Michigan, and I think there's a thread somewhere that people have posted which bureau was pulled based on state. I did a lot of research so that I could apply for 3 of the cards I wanted while only getting 1 pull from each of the bureaus. Good luck!
