GreenState Credit Union World Mastercard Approval

I lurk here often, so thought I would contribute for once.

I was in the hunt for a travel credit card that paid out 4%ish in hotels/airfare, as I travel a bit for work. After a lot of digging, the autograph journey seemed like the right fit. Only issue: did not want another inquiry on my Equifax or Experian (went down a rabbit hole in that regard researching what banks pull TU lol)

Suffice to say there wasn't much choice. In the end I found the GreenState CU World Mastercard which gives 5x points on hotels/airfare with no AF. And best of all, they pull TU! I applied and was approved after showing proof of income. Got a limit of $10k as well, my highest yet.

FICO 8 is 722 at time of inquiry, 4/24.

I'm in one of their member states, but I believe you can also join if OOS, there's a thread here somewhere

I have read posts both of people that were successful and unsuccessful in joining Grenstate FCU who live out of their defined coverage area. In my post (Personal Finance) on credit unions that use the American Consumer Council as a pathway to membership I say to call them.
This morning for the sake of science I started a chat session with Greenstate. I asked the question would I be eligible for membership stating I lived in California and I am a member of the ACC. The response was yes since i am an existing member of the ACC.

UPDATED TO ADD: Since I live in California am not eligible for consumer loans from Green State Beware

Membership in the ACC is or was $15.00 for a lifetime. The link is below to join is below. If the success rate will be 100% using this path. Most credit unions will pay the membership fee it appears this credit union will not. If you live out of state let us know how it goes and good luck.
