Commonwealth Credit Union Ky approval

I was approved for 15,000 at 15.4% which is the lowest rate offered also a zero balance transfer as well

data points TUC was pulled with zero inquires Edited to add TU score 803 with upper limit was 850. last new account in 9/24

it may not be the best travel but good one with no annual fee

They also have some good savings rates as well

Warning pun alert

I also closed my Discover Card in June and waited until the account reported as closed. No I did not Savor the moment. I do not like Cap 1.

Congrats I picked up this card recently approved for 10K and 5K Personsl LOC, so far I like them a little crazy with verfication when you log in with the alerts though. lol.

I loathe CAP One and I may close my 2 discover cards as well and I usually thin the herd every 6 months .

Congrats! I have this card also and it's great. 5k spend for the sign up bonus is high but this is a really good card for a CU.

@tbtfw I saw your post when you were approved for this card. I did not have a travel credit card. To me it is better than some of banks that offer travel credit cards. Thank you for posting about this card.

@firefox100 @Discover Card had for me has no pathway for me to use it. I can get 5% year round on restraunts grocery and gas. Amazon Walmart and Target I can get 3% year round with Redstone. If I want 5% I can buy a gift card at the grocery store. Capital One does not have any credit cards that interest me or anything else. If Capital one makes the card more usable for me I will consider it.

Oh nice that's cool! I'm almost done meeting my signup bonus. It's definitely a great travel card that hangs with some of the cards from bigger banks.

Note however, Discover is in a holding pattern from the burial ... want to see if anything notable will come forth from the merger? Hmm ...
