Had this CU for like 5 years with $100, applied for 2 of their cards, I put the request at 20k each, approved pending POI, called lending after sending it in and they approved both fully.

@reluctantgarden just did it, approved for 5k since their LoC is only 5k max, but I did request the cards to be increased to 35k, L.O. sent them back to UW an hour ago.

Nice job! But I am kind of salty.

I have been at 50k on one card for a few years now because one rep told me they changed their policy and max on all credit lines was 35k and what I had was grandfathered. I am going to call them and may applyfor the second card now!

I love this card because it is my highest and no charge for cash advances (which I use a lot) or for balance transfers and my rate is at like 12ish%.

@fm92555 yeah id apply for another tbh, although i do have a bone to pick with them currently... they froze my account access and want me to go down and provide my SS card and other docs, just a bit annoying but ill do it today.

yeah my rate is 12.xx or something like that, the rep said anything over 770 gets the lowest advertised rate, they use Fico 2 EX cause my fico 8 is 810 and it came out at like 845

No idea how you managed this unless policies recently changed. They only let me have 50k at the max, no matter how many cards it was spread across.

That's a new one, because I had a ridiculous amount of new accounts and inquiries when they approved me. Risk tolerances must have changed recently.

Sounds like they were also maybe spooked for fraud since they had you come in with all your docs to unrestrict your account.

Odd, but maybe T.U.R.D.? I'm in the OC also and always looking for more good CU's: will stay away from Schools First. Past 60 days came out of the garden and added: - NFCU Cash Rewards. Very nice BT offer - Fidelity/Elan card - Citi Costco card - Sam's/Synchrony Elite M/C - 2 new Amex accounts: BCP and Hilton Honors - Small Amex personal loan (need stronger relationship for business) - CLI: NFCU Amex, CaptialOne, Apple, Barclay's, USAA So far Chase said no, too many new accounts. Other than that, nothing untoward to report.

They don't use the Rapid Default model. SchoolsFirst has been extremely generous to me and their service is second to none. No reason to stay away.
