Amex Delta Gold Approval

I was reading this thread: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Amex-Clearly-Saying-Soft-Pull-Pre-Qualify-Now/m-p/6590110#M1827980 regarding the lifetime black list for AMEX. I burned them in BK 7 in 2018 for about $4k on a BCE card. I have not paid it back. With my previous employer I had a company AMEX charge card for business expenses which was meticulously managed by me and paid on time by expense report and properly closed when I changed jobs. I really wanted the Delta card so I took a chance on the soft pull and much to my surprise the lifetime ban (for me at least) is not in place. I was approved for the card (and accepted) not the biggest CL ($2k) but I am back in and hopeful it will grow fairly quickly. It does achieve the goal of the Delta card and getting back in their good graces. Never give up. You just don't know when a creditor will have a change of heart.
