I have to say I'm shocked

History -

I burned Chase in a 13 back in 2017 (think north of $35K - can't remember)

I've had JPM as my primary bank for the last 25+ years and they do hold my IRA (they never messed with me during my 13)

I've written off ever getting back in with JPM for credit cards - at least anytime soon and their preapproval never shows anything

New CC's - Currently at 11/24

Fico 8 - 819

Today Amazon.com's preapproval came back positive so I pulled the trigger expecting a decline - approved with $10K limit!!!

I'm running out to by a lotto ticket now, the JPM gods have shined their faces on me today

Per Chase the average time for BK 13 on the credit report is 7 years. Iit is possible the BK has dropped from your credit report. The other positive factor is your 25 year banking relationship with Chase. If this was included in the underwriting decision is unknown.

oh it dropped a long while ago so it's no longer on the reports but there's reports of JPM being like AmEx with a long memory, the other interesting thing is I'm no where near 5/24 - way over and I was still approved - I'm guessing that means Amazon is once again no longer using 5/24

I just got prime at 5/24, I don't think they enforce it on cobrand.

Most datapoints say it is enforce but there have been known exceptions - I guess that would be you and me
