Happy New Year to Me! Was approved for a Discover Cash Back card on 1/1. I have a pretty recent ch 7 so I was super happy on this one to add to my rebuild. For months it was showing only the secured card and I did my usual 1st of the month pre-approval try and the unsecured showed up. I'm super happy with the limit and I did not get the highest APR. Small victories for now while I garden.

Congrats on your approval and thank you for the additional information! It would seem that perhaps you achieved some element of time metric since the BK that since satisfied resulted in your ability to acquire the card.

Also as an aside, if you are paying your statement balances in full monthly (responsible revolving credit use) you never pay a penny of interest at all, thus rendering APR irrelevant.

I think that's pretty impressive. 6 months out and you've already got a 5k card that can give some decent rewards.

I don't plan on ever carrying balances but it's a good data point to know that even with a recent bk that you don't automatically get the worst interest rate.

Yeah I already had 3 rebuilders already with low limits ($2500, $2500, $1000) so this was a little bit of a surprise they would give me double my highest limit. I'm planning to garden until Cap One lets me back in, lol.
