Since they don't verify income on most cards these days, there isn't much weight put towards income IMO. So either putting a million income might help a little or the algorithm will ignore it (if it doen't get flagged). Even though my scores are in the 840's, I will get about 25k no matter what income I put because my highest tradeline is 25k. He worked his way up to 94k. Now he's on a 94k plateau. Now other banks will feel more comfortable giving him 94k! However, if he's really got that kind of income he should be able to plunk down a large deposit and get a huge limit at virually any major bank.

I have no idea how much income matters for certain issuers. I can tell you, that once you get above a certain threshold with Amex, income is literally the only thing they care about.

Most of the time issuers can tell your income range by your paymenthistory, and credit limits. if you are paying $7000/month every month. There's a good bet you have high income. But Amex is very serious about verifying and it's really the most important thing to them after a certain point.

at least that's been my experience.

Some people don't get raises. They may own a business or work in sales and get commissions and overrides, where income can fluctuate from year to year.

I Wanted to say thanks, but this sorta scream suspicion in regards to @DoctorLoomis supposedly HUGE CLI. Did he pulled something to get that high, or did he jiggled around with the annual income that he claimed to put down. There's no way for a person to get a CLI that high...

There are folks on this forum with higher CL than $ 94,000 (from other issuers.) For the Apple Card, this is probably the highest CL though.

Your initial post portrayed extreme skepticism over how such a CLI was possible, and further alleging "There's no way for a person to get a CLI that high..."

I looked at your signature to see your current portfolio and I can understand why you don't see how it's possible. However, your lack of experience with higher CLs makes this a topic that may be outside your area of expertise.

@DanteJuan95 you've off base on this one. @dfwxjer is correct. There are plenty of people with extremely high 5-figure limits on cards that don't have income stated anywhere in the realm of what OP mentioned. It's very well documented that plenty of issuers will allow one to grow a limit to 50% of their stated income or beyond at times assuming a solid credit profile. Someone with $150k-$175k income could possess a card that boasts a limit of $94k.

And your point is? 🤨 Also, what does my signature of the cards that i currently own, have anything to do with me questioning of what @DoctorLoomis has for his reasonably large increase on his Apple Card. You making an argument literally out of nothing but instigating an issue over a "skeptical" question that I asked and I clearly did not ask you for anything at all.
