Shock from Amex

Short background. My 61 day 3x CLI for my BCE card was denied at the end of Apr, I had asked for $6k. I applied for the Everyday card and was approved for $2k at the begining of the month. In the process of planning a honeymoon for next year, looking at going to Europe so was looking at reward programs/signup bonuses. The SPG looked like it will be awesome, signup bonus be good for a couple of free nights at a good hotel somewhere. So applied, got a 7-10 day message, and on the status page it was listed as "In Progress", Called new accounts and was told it was being manually reviewed.

Well got an email saying the account was approved! Called in to check the CL and found out it was for $10k!!!! I had to listen to it twice to make sure I heard it right! I was denied a CLI to $6k, and then I'm approved for an additional $12k in credit!!! I'm shocked!!!!

After I hit the signup bonus for the SPG ($5k in 6 months) I'll go for a PRG for the 25k points. Hopefully I'll get a 50k point offer before then. Since I can move both MR and UR to Avios 1:1 I think I'll be able to get most if not all of the airfare for free!

Edit: OMG I just realized... This is my first 5 digit CL credit card! (not counting NavCheck)!!!!
