BofA CLI Luv!

Just requested a CLI with BofA and got it instantly with a soft pull! Yay! Doubled my current credit line with them. It's been stuck at $4,000 for awhile. Haven't been able to get a SP CLI with them - Like EVER. So stoked!

I did it online this time. I'm assuming it was. When it's a HP they tell you up front and ask your permission to pull your credit report. That's the way it's been for every CLI I've done (or attempted) with them. This time they didn't ask, just gave it to me instantly. I think they might have been softing me, though. I've attempted CLIs online in the past and when it asks to pull my credit report I always stop it. I've read that on previous CLI attempts but that notice wasn't there this time. Believe me, i looked first! I'm assuming it was a SP. Will update if it turns out to be a HP.

sorry, it's a hp. go back and ask for $25k and see what they counter back at.

We don't definitively know this, I've been reading that for some it's soft. Although they might have been mistaken

I got an instant CLI and a few days later a alert on TU.

No big deal it's worth a HP.

Its still worth the HP for 4000, IMO

HP verified! DARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Expletives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got off chat with BofA. They apologized about the "no notification" and said if I wanted MORE of a limit it would be ANOTHER HP. I said no thank you!

Alright guys, take a good look at the sparkly plantinum spade cuz it's going away. Turning back into a sprout. Sad, sad day. But worth it!

ugh people are so misinformed... that's one thing BofA is good at... once they have a hard pull they will use it for 30 days... either request it online again yourself or call the backdoor number and they will use that pull and see about more.

Lol, well congrats on the increase - and the year of gardening! This one hp won't affect your garden that much, but the increased CL and concurrently lowered util should boost your FICO nicely

I also thought mine was a soft pull too, until i saw the inquiry pop up about 5 days later lol.
