AMEX Delta Skymiles & PRG Approval same day

Hard to believe it but i was approved for both today. Don't know my limit on the Delta but I did get the 30,000 miles offer. It feels good to be back in the AMEX family and i need to get back dating done. The biggest surprise is my scores haven't changed much lately and my derogs still exist.

I logged into my online access I set-up for the Delta card and it was all completed. 5K CL is not too bad! I need to figure out how to add my PRG card to that same access as well.

I had way back in college a green card so back in 1980 or so. Do you think I should ask for backdating to then? Do they check the accuracy? The card they cancelled on me last Nov was member date of 2000 so I know I can ask for then. Let me know your thoughts and how to best ask for the date change. Would like to help my AAoA.

Finally how do I know when my 61 days are completed? I want to stick that date on my calendar.

When you log into your account, what is the Member Since date? Call Customer Service and ask them to update your Member Since date to 1980. They may push back a little since your last card was dated 1990, but it's definitely worth it. I had virtually the same thing happen to me, and have a Member Since date of 1981 (don't use backdating with them).

Congrats on both Amex approvals Barry!

I think you should ask for your MSD to be changed to 1980 when you had the green card. It doesn't hurt to try. Even if they say no though, backdating to 2000 would also give your AAoA a nice boost. Good luck!

As far as the 61 days, since you created your online account yesterday, log in and look at the date below recent charges. Add 61 days to that. It looks like this:

Same here, BarryNTexas. I got approved for the Delta Skymiles and the Everyday card on the same day (within 20 minutes of each other). And I still have one baddie still remaining. Congrats to you, and good luck with backdating.

All, I just noticed on the website in my account under my name it says:

CARD MEMBER SINCE 1983

Wow I haven't even requested the back dating. Does this mean all I need to do is ask them to send new cards with the correct MSD? Will they report to the agencies 1983? this will really help my AAoA. I was thinking it was 1980 but I will not argue the facts. I will have two cards reporting 31 years!
