discover it denied :(

I applied for a discover it card a few weeks ago and I got my denial letter in the mail today. Funny thing was it didnt mention anything about my 2 unpaid negative accounts I have left on my credit. They pulled transunion since I had my equifax frozen and I had to call in but the rep told me they could pull experian or transunion for me. I never heard of them pulling experian which is actually my best score. The letter did say too many recently opened accounts and accounts on revolving limits is too low. I was added as a authorized user on my moms navy federal credit card which has a 13000 dollar limit but right now using 60% unlitzation on it cause I transfered my wells fargo balance and my personal loan balance on to it. She got 0% interest for 12 months which is going to save me a ton on interest. I'm currently in the garden and how long should I wait before reapplying for the discover it and this time I will have them pull experian. Also I will be paying off those last 2 negative accounts. Thanks to everyone on here I was able to go from 21 negative accounts in march down to 6 on experian, 7 on transunion and 7 on equifax. Thanks

I was denied twice with a (5 year old) neg on each, 22 and 18 months ago.

They are now sending me invitations to apply with range of APR. I still have the same negative account on my reports so i'm not trying it again. Be nice to have but I'll be just fine without it. :]

sorry about your denial. I would wait a good while before another attempt.

I applied a couple times and was denied both times, but the last time I applied after being denied, I was offered their secured card.

i forgot to mention the letter said my fico score was 643 and in march it was low 500's so i came along way in that short amount of time. I will wait 6 months and try again and even if I'm offered the secured I will take it. I've never had a discover or american express with is two cards that I would love to have. Thanks for everyones input.

It took me 4 tries to get in.

I have always had EX frozen when I applied except this last time.

I have read that they tend to pull EQ and EX. If you let them pull both your chances are much better.

Hang in there. Keep trying. It will get approved one day.
