Applied for Gap Card got 7-10 day message

So i applied for the gap card on 1/17 and got the 7-10 day message, and some code for reference. Before i could write the code down the screen refreshed.

Since this wasn't an out right denial like my Care Credit app, normally does this mean denial in your experience? Shoot i'd be happy with a $100 limit, just to get back in with Syncb.

I really want to call in, and check the status but i'm trying to be patient.

For reference scores range 560-574 FICO 8.

I called a backdoor number, its currently going on for further processing.

I applied to yesterday and got that message and was approve $ 200. They had to verified some information.

It might not be a denial. Several of my apps got 7-10 days message. It went to further review. I got approved after 2 weeks.

Ron...Is it best to call in and ask or just let it run it's course? Wiating on an answer to the 7-10 day message for Old Navy and JC Penney. Thx!

Called today they denied me, oh well I'm in the garden now! Time to strengthen that TU score!

or do you think I should recon?

SYNCB does not reconsider auto-declined applications OP. What reasons did they cite? Are the reasons in line with the recently declined Capital One app?

I haven't received reason yet, still waiting on letter...I'm blacklisted by capital one that's reasoning for that! Thanks for the info!

FYI...my wife applied for Old Navy and JCP about 10 days ago. Today, she got a decline letter for JCP and a fraud verification letter for ON. After calling she

was approved for $200. The JCP letter has her TU score at 615.

I was denied TU score was 563 per letter.

Following reasons:
To many negative trade lines
Time since current account
Collection or public record on file

Sorry about your decline and it is a good idea to wait till your TU score is in the 620-650 range....more Synchrony doors will open for you.

I received that very same message when I applied for my Old Navy as well as my Lowes card...they didn't pull my report until like 2 weeks after I applied. I didn't know I was approved until I recieved an alert from myFico that there had been 2 new accounts added...cards show up about a week after the alerts. So to answer your question, 7-10 day message doesn't necessarily mean denial.

BTW, did you only get one of their cards as a Visa? Or, were you able to convince them to upgrade additional cards to Visa?

I only got BR Visa. Not Gap.
