So I am 20. I am planning on going to Indiana University Purdue University Indiananapilis. I did some googleing for a credit card offered through BoA. It is the IUAA BankAmericard Cash Rewards™ Visa® credit card. It is the BoA Cash Rewards except college branded. If I get this card eventually can it be changed to a regular looking BoA Cash Rewards design?

If I get this card eventually can it be changed to a regular looking BoA Cash Rewards design?

Short Answer: Probably, but does it matter? (if there's no annual fee and the benefits are the same, why change?)

Sometimes having the different appearance on the card is advantageous. The BoA Cash Rewards card offers 3% on gas, 2% on groceries, but the increased rebate is capped at $1500 per quarter.

BoA's Susan Komen card offers similar benefits as the Cash Rewards card. If you carry that version, the sponsoring organization gets a small bonus when you open the account, and some ongoing bonus as well. The APR may be slightly higher, but if you don't carry a balance, the APR doesn't matter much, and the sponsoring organization gets some ongoing assistance.

So I have a CR MC, a CR Visa, and the MLB MC... the benefits are similar, but the different appearance makes it easy to track which account has the spend remaining. I recently added Suntrust's MC to the mix, so I have the uncapped 2% on groceries, but it's often nice to have a backup card. (or 50, lol)

There's even an offer floating around for their ABA and AICPA cards that have the same bnefits, with a $175 account opening bonus. My fingers are feeling itchy.
