monthly spend question on Cap One app

Cap One asks for an estimated spending amount on their credit card application. How much does this determine whether an app is approved or not or is it just for setting a limit? Is it better to report a high estimate or low ball it?

I honestly don't think that question has much to do with the CLI. Granted, I did see another poster who said it worked for them using the spend amounts but with my 5 capitalone cards, when I chose to put in an amount or left it blank, I don't think it mattered on that question.

Same experience. I've done CLI requests and sometimes I put a number in the box, and sometimes I don't, and I've only ever been granted one CLI, so I don't think it really matters much (if at all).
