Krispy Kreme Credit Card!

I go in to Krispy Kreme like I do every morning and the manager asked me if I was interested in applying for a Krispy Kreme Mastercard. I looked at the application and it actually has donut rewards. As much as I love donuts it simply isn't a CC perk I am interested in. Also I am not at all comfy with filling out a paper CCM application that will be laying around a Krispy Kreme.

What's next? A Captain Ds AMEX card.........geez

Now this is getting weird. You are the 2nd person today to be offered this mastercard - however it appears to be a scam because the other poster called corporate and asked... Really strange, and what are the chances you both went to the same Krispy Kreme place? Read thread below -

Wow, I just read that other post about the Krispy Kreme card and now I am just blown away. I am in South Carolina. Did he ever say where he was from. On my cell phone so a little hard to navigate through all the posts.

This was a paper application and it actually had a picture of the card on it. The application looked glossy so If indeed it is a complete scam, someone is atleast making it look legitimate. The crazy thing is, she told me if I was approved I would get a free dozen right then. So......I am really concerned as to what is going on.

I don't recall the other poster stating what state they were from, but they did say it was a paper application and that they contacted corporate and corporate said they know of no credit card nor any plans for a credit card. But the chances you two went to the same Krispy Kreme is pretty slim (although you never know), so it makes me wonder if this is legit and whoever the other poster spoke with just wasn't aware of it yet? I don't know. If it is a scam, it's a pretty good one if they have multiple Krispy Kreme locations passing out fake paper applications.

The other poster is from OH Since KK gives out franchises, this may be a multi location fraud owned by one person. OP should definitely get an application and post the picture here and if the other poster do the same, then we can compare the applications and see if they ae identical.

I called their 800 number and asked.

The girl I spoke to laughed with me about the weird signup bonus BUT also said that there is a possiblity that a franchise owner could have worked out some sort of deal somehow. Which I find hard to believe, but she said she hadn't heard anything about it.

I got their corporate office's phone number, though, from the customer service chick.
