Hello everyone, I am wanting to apply for the Discover it credit card, do anyone know which credit reporting agency discover use? What is a good credit score for this credit card approval?

Based on CPD it seems to be a 50/50 balance between EX and EQ pulls.

When I applied and got denied all 3x's hahah they double pulled me 1 on EQ and 1 on Ex....I think it depends on where you live. Try to google "Credit Pulls Database" and put in your information for where you are. Discover is a very very strange lender and you will see approvals all over the board....I think Discover really has their own algorithm for approvals because they do not overturn a computer decision. If you apply for the unsecured card they may flat out deny you, counter with a joint application, or counter secured or they may just approve you out right. You can now just apply for the secured card too.

Every profile is different so I would say share some information....scores, inquiries, any baddies, ect and see what others may say.

I like to think that for Discover you are just going to have to take a chance if its a card you want. But go ahead and share some info first and wait for some others to chime in. Good luck!

I live in Chicago and Discover It has pulled EQ and soemtimes both EQ/EX for me. One time they pulled TU back back in 2013.

Now I did apply for Discover Miles a little while back and they pulled TU only.

I just got an It card about 10 days ago. They pulled EX for me.

Check out this tool: (Mod cut-Im sorry links to that site cannot be posted on myFico)

Plug in "Discover" and choose your state and hit search and you'll get a whole database of actual appication, what the FICO score was, who they pulled, whether they were approved, and what the credit limit was.

Or leave out "Discover" (leave it blank) and get all of the applications in the database for your state. It's pretty cool to see how much people are getting approved for with what scores.

Good credit score is close to 700 or over.

I applied 2 days ago, was denied but I got a counteroffer for a different terms discovercard. So I accepted it however the CL is low starting $500. Anyways I'm okay with it I'm rebuilding my credit after 2 months from ch7 bk.

I just got a similar approval (countered with higher intro APR and $1000 CL) I only applied since I saw that they tend to pull EX and I had 2 negatives deleted that day so my score went up to 702. (I also had fewer inquiries on EX than on the other 2) I was happy to get it, though.

They pulled TU and TU only for me.

I'm in Texas.

I'm pretty sure it's all location based.
