Synchrony Credit Solutions Denial

I attempted to get a cli for both my Amazon and Walmart account. I got a denial on both accounts. However, I did verify that it would be a soft pull on my credit, so I will wait until next month when my dti goes down.

How long have you had the accounts for? Atleast on one of the account wait for 4th statement to build some rep with them and will be smooth sailing afterwards.

Was this through Credit Solutions, online CLI link or Chat? If you went the Credit Solutions route, some individuals had positive results via Chat (or viceversa). If you were denied the CLI on both fronts, then all you can do is wait until things improve with your profile and try again.

Age shouldn't matter. I had Walmart and Amazon for only 1-2 months and got Amazon $1900>$4000 and Wally World $400>$4000. Then I got a Lowes card $500>$5000, Old Navy $300>$3500 5 minutes after getting approved for both.

I would definitely try chat. I was denied 3 times through credit solutions. I was denied the first time about 1 month ago on my Walmart card. Then about two weeks later on my Walmart card after some more usage and lower utilization across the board. Then about 2 days after trying with credit solutions, I tried using chat and went from $250 to $4,000.

I tried to get an increase on my Amazon card immediately after applying two weeks ago. Called credit solutions, denial no counter offer. I tried chat a week later and went from $1,800 to $3,500. I wouldn't try immediately. Maybe a couple weeks later.

And about the age, my Amazon card was only 2 weeks old and had $14 spend on it.

I think it's a YMMV type of situation. I was one, who like the OP, couldn't get anything on account opening. I read many times, and still do, where lots of people are granted an increase at time of opening...I've never been that lucky one. I've always had to get at least 2-3 months behind me before they've allow an increase.

I have 7 Sync cards and called CS on all and had great luck. They know me now. If you get Justin, tell him I said hi. Sorry it isn't working out for you.

I have had the accounts for a couple of years, and I have gotten automated increases regulary. I just haven't gotten a large increase. My utilization is pretty high, and I recently paid down my debt, so I will wait until beginning of March to reply via chat.

I know it is my utilization. It has been pretty high, but i have recently paid it down.

I called CS within 5mins of opening my Walmart acct and 2wks of opening my Amazon acct and got CLI'd up to $3500 on each. Never even had the acct #'s.
