BOA pending application?

I applied for BOA 123 card 3 months ago with instant denial and offer for secured card by mail. I reapplied tonight because scores had greatly improved and only one baddie left. I got those message:

Your application is in review. Thanks for choosing Bank of America. We're carefully reviewing your application and need to check a few more things. We appreciate your patience.

Is this just another way of saying denied?

i got the same exact msg when i applied for BBR about a week ago. when i called i was told it's for fraud/security measure. if i were you i'd call. sorry dunno the number exactly as i was transferred 2x before i got the right person. good luck!

edit: i just tried this a few seconds ago ~ dial 877-721-9405 then press '0' it will say "ok, you will be connected to an agent' be nice, polite then say something along the lines of 'i recently applied for a new card and i wanted to see if i could help answer any questions in efforts to facilitate the review process'

I believe that you can also see the status of an application somewhere on their website as well

If you've applied twice within 90 days, Bank of America will treat the second app as a duplicate. I applied twice within a 90 day window and got the exact message you got.

Have they pulled your credit yet? If not, it is definitely being considered as a duplicate app.

I'd call in just to verify that.
