Best way to find out is to do the prequal on their site. If it says congrats you are qualified for then you have a good chance since Cap1 is dead on. But if it turns out like we couldn't find a match but we recommend then it doesn't seem so well. But some have had success in getting approved even if they aren't prequal, but remember if you take that risk you take a risk on getting 3 hard pulls one on each CR.

@Anonymous wrote:

I got an 599 for ex and eq and a 612 for tu do you think that's good for for the quicksilver 1 card

Will this be your first card with them ? Do you have any other cards or lines of credit showing ? The Platinum isn't a bad option, apply for that , wait two months and then ask for rewards, the QS1 has an AF of $39.

I got approved for a Platinum and QS1 w/ a 560 EQ and 580s TU & EX. They were both $300 but I didn't expect much seeing as I've only got a $200 secured and $400 CreditOne card. I plan on following the advice of this forum: PCing the Plat to a regular QS after 2nd statement, asking for CLI on both after 3rd statement, credit steps increase at 6 months then combining the 2. And of course running as much as I can thru the cards and PIF each month (my secured has a balance so no need for Cap1 to). I think you'll have no problem. Cap1 was the first to offer me credit at 18 which I defaulted on so I'm thrilled I found this forum and Cap1 is working w/ me again.

The main info for me is, do you have any credit cards that are reporting now? If you do then just wait till your score is better before going for another sub prime card including CapOne platinum Card.

If you don't have any CC as of now, then go for CapOne! You need to start somewhere reporting CC on your credit file! Even the entry lvl CapOne is better then most Sub Prime cards.
