Another Cap One Denial

hi all

So i was denied for a capital one platinum once again, equifax is 575 exp 607, and trans is 610. I have also had a secured card with them for a year now. Is there any number i should call to see if i can get them to reconsider?

From what I've read, CapOne isn't one for doing recons. If you don't mind me asking, what was the reasons listed for denial?

I called and the rep wouldnt say, just that i needed to wait until i recieved the denial letter.

Dont be discouraged, give it awhile, garden and build score with your secured card and go for it again in about 6-8 months. Your scores are still just a little low. Same thing happened to me. I eventually got in and now have 2 cards with them. You are almost where you need to be!

I agree with buddafly... you should garden for a few more months. You may want to see if you are pre-qualified for any of their cards before you apply again. Keep your head up!!

My scores were in the tank approx 4 years go (one of my scores was a 498). I started with the Cap1 secured card and BoA secured card and have been working really hard to repair my since then. I now have a Walmart store card $6k CL, Care Credit $11k CL, Venture $15k CL, Quicksilver $3k, Discover IT $1.6k.

I was recently approved for the Amex Hilton with only a $1.4k CL and the Chase Slate $500 CL - these are low limits but I am going use these cards and enjoy the perks and work in increasing my CL.

Point is you will get there too... you just need time.

I think those scores are even low for their Platinum card.. Make sure youre prequalified before applying for their card cause they triple pull.
