Chase freedom credit limit

What is the general starting credit limit on the chase freedom. My fico score is around 740.

I got a $4k limit when I first applied but ymmv as they say (score was in the 700's).

Depends what bucket they put you in.

But it seems like $4,500 is a very standard limit for "not yet signature material" credit profiles.

I received 4500 initial credit limit when I applied. Score used was 748 but I had a very thin file. Only open account at the time was 4 month old CapOne Plat MC with 300CL.

when your score is over 720 it really comes down to existing cards, plus income, and if they want to impress, then you will get an CL that is larger than you existing cards.

the 500, and 1000 are the warning CL's okay we gave you a card, but we really don't trust you... treat us well for 6 months to a year you may get auto-luv or may be a CLI canidate.

2000-4000 are typical, i was given 3000 on mine, auto-luv of $300 more after a year or so.

24000 CL's are for ballers with long history, and/or great pay

I got an intiail 5k on my chase southwest card and I'm itching to ask for CLI to 10k, wonder if its the same criteria for the freedom card as other chase cards

I was given a $7k Signature with only a Sears Mastercard and Barclays Apple Financing Visa - not really sure what the rhyme or reason is for their CLs.

My Freedom opened with a 500 CL, and after 6 months it auto-CLI'd to 1000.

I only had a Cap One Journey at 300 -> 500 prior, and opened Freedom as the 6th card at the end of my first app spree.

I've come a heck of a ways since then.

My CSP came with a 10k limit, 6 months later I APP'd for the southwest card it came with a 20K CL, Co-branded cards seem to have lower underwriting requirements. With chase its usually better to AP for a new card and move CL's around to meet your needs than to ask for a CLI much higher chance of being declined.

TU + EX, and I was an existing chase card holder Freedom + Slate each with 3.3k at the time.

Then in April I AP'd for both Southwest and Amex and they pulled TU + EX again, so it could be of been a double pull for 1 and they used the same HP's again... or one for each don't know.

At the time for my score was probably low 700s and got a instant approval for freedom of 2k they pulled tu and ex. After 4 months got a auto cli to 4k.

In august i applied for csp and instant approved they only pulled ex.

My wife has an EX score of 715, and was approved for CSP and a $5k CL 6 weeks ago. She apped for Freedom last Wednesday and was approved for $4,500. She went for both based on the pre-qual from the website.

My FICO scores are in the 650s and I was approved for a Chase Freedom VS with a $7000 credit line, so there is definitely a YMMV aspect to it.

I am not a happy Chase customer! I got a $500 credit limit when I got the Freedom card. Then I had to take a HP to get an increase to $1500. I can't PC, I don't get auto CLIs. This is one of my lowest credit limits. (Other than Target and my Hilton Honors card. The only reason the Hilton card is lower is because I transferred the limit to my BCP!)

My file wasn't the best when I got their card, but it wasn't the worst either. After nearly two years I still get nothing, so it is in the SD for me. Funny thing is, I check the prequal site with them and could get the Slate and CSP! It has been that way for months. Literally for 4 months those cards have been offered to me. The Slate even longer! I think Slate has been available for me for more than a year! If any of my CC's get nervous about how much I have available, the Freedom card will be the first on the chopping block.

Never had a Freedom card but they did give me my highest starting limit ever on the Sw card. EQ pull only and two months later was able to get a second card though with a lower limit that matched my Walmart card.

I had no credit cards at all prior to the beginning of 2014, though I had a few car loans on my credit report. Given my thin credit file, they started me out at $500. I'm waiting to see if they give me an increase after my 6th statement.

Did you do those back to back and was it instant or did you hve to call in?
