best buy cli confusion

Hi everyone, I requested a cli on my BB visa 30 minutes later I got a msg saying it was approved from 500 to 3.5k. but it didnt reflect on my account so I called best buy and they said it was a mistake and that it was actually declined. should I call citi? the best buy guy had very little info he put me on hold and had to contact the other department I am assuming citi. if so who should I call? a number would be greatly appreciated . I think it was a HP. thanks .

Hi everyone, I need to call best buy to recon my cli decline decision and tried all of the numbers in the sticky and they are not working. is there a backdoor number that is working that hasnt been posted yet? thanks

Sorry to hear about the decline but there are many Citi numbers. What number were you ringing? Just an FYI, you cannot recon a CLI decline.

Coming from someone who works at Best Buy, I would never EVER call Best Buy about an issue with your card. Always call Citi.

Can someone please post the backdoor number for citi, I tried the numbers on the bdn sticky and they didn't work

Just call number on back of your card. That is citi. 888-574-1301 citi retail for your Best Buy card.

i got an email last night saying I was declined, I still want to call and see if they can reconsider since it was a HP. I was planning on buying a washer/dryer with it but if they refuse I will probably close the card I mean it has a $59 fee and very low line I would think they would increase it by the 6th statement

cap1 secured, platinum and qs1, freedom, best buy visa and barclay rewards..45k.... well its been denied that's why I want to try to see if they will reconsider since I took a HP for it might as well try to get atleast something out of it

called the eo for bestbuy and unfortianatlly it was closed so i tried the csr number and they where of no help , they said the decision is automated and final, I asked the rep to run it through his manager but kept insisting its automated and finally put me onhold ASKED his manager and said to try for a lower amount so we did the rep ran it again for 2k using the same CR(good for 30days) declined so I insisted for the rep to run it through the manager to reconsider and gave me the same answer "no sorry, its a final decision" ....not giving up will be calling the eo tomorrow

Dont get me wrong but best buy card is not really a good card i have for 2 years now and always is a HP CLI best thing for you is call citi . But i dont think it will help

yes I am starting to agree with you such a high annual fee and bad service, I have been reading other members experiance with them and they all seems negative, tomorrow will be my last attempt otherwise I will be closing it and save myself $59

spoke to the EO yesterday, she put in my request again and today it was declined called the same CSR from the EO and she said it is declined and sorry she wasnt able to help me . very dissapointed . I will let the 12 month promotion run out and give them the benefit of the doubt till then if I dont get any luv I will close the account before the $59 fee.
