Chase Marriott Rewards Pending

So I wanted to do one more app for the rest of the year, so i decided to apply for the Marriott Premier card from Chase. Well applied and got the pending review on the site, got the email and it said 30 days, called the automated line and it says 7-10 days. I applied and was approved for the SW card in March for $26,000, and then the Disney card on 4/26 for $20,000, so I called verification and they said it was with their lending team, and he wanted to transfer me over, so I said sure, well he came back on the line and said there was an extended wait and for me to either hold or call back, well I chose to call back. I think I should let this one ride and see what happens.... I hate waiting though, it'll kill me not knowing if it's approved or denied. I'm expecting a denial and prepared to move over credit if I have to of course, but lets see what happens.

I had already called and they said it was declined because of the 5/24 rule basically

Oh no, sorry to hear you were denied. Man I was hoping that it was just a rumor that they were expanding the 5/24 rule to some of their other cards

Yeah I was polite and very kind and asked if they could use credit from another account and she was like no because you've opened more the 5 accounts in the last two years. She counted 10 I though I had more then that lol

Sorry to hear. That 5/24 rule is something that will stop a lot of people in their tracks. Takes getting used to I guess.
