What other companies pull trans union for approval other than Synchrony??

Ok I'm gardening. Or trying to lol. What other credit companies pull trans union for approvals? That's my highest score. 640. I already have Synchrony accounts and capital 1 Q S. Thanks all!!

barclays generally pulls Tu but rarely and sometimes pulls from Exp ive heard, and Yes Synchrony for the most part. Your easiest bet is to google search credit pulls and there is a website that can let you see what companies pull in your region.

not sure the commen above was really appropriate but yea id say be strategic and learn what you can, if you have everything you need be golden, barclays doesnt like to see alot of recent apps or they can AA you.

Pway, as I've stated numerous times, I'm very new to this. I asked two questions as I believe is my right in order to learn. However, the rudeness is not necessary. I wasn't backtracking I was merely trying to determine my best route. Thanks for your advice, but try to remember , I'm learning as with everyone else here. Thank you.

am I the only one to get amused when I see people get yelled at for unwarranted app spree(s) but can't see the signatures and see why?

Is OP "missing" a card?
Is the card OP is missing only approved with 700 scores?

Barclays almost always pulls TU.

When you come out of the garden, try for their Rewards card.

Walmart Store Card (syncbank) pulls TU and with a 640 FICO you're all but basically a LOCK.

LOL don't be so hard on the OP. We all get caught up (or have gotten) on the high of APP SPREES and approvals when we should have been in the garden. Please let OP be great again

I agree, i went on an unplanned app spree this month when I shouldn't really have. But you just cant help it when you start getting those approvals. Once you start getting denied thats when you know you need to stop. 😜 I am 3 for 5 this month. Keep telling myself I need to garden for atleast a year. What helps me stay in the garden is to not go to this forum. Because everytime i see approvals it makes me wanna apply. Gardening does help though, i was denied for amex 2x but after i gardened for atleast 6 months they let me in.

OP I apologiize if you feel that my comment came off harsh. I just don't want you to regret what some of us has done in regretting getting so many store cards down the line. I am one of those that opened up a ton of store cards and regretted getting them because I don't use them. I simply only got them because I was addiced to seeing that approval page.

+1 I'm there too. My only save is more old cards I still have open.

640 + app spree = same score, denials, hps.
700 + app spree = 640 score potential. Then when score bounces back you carry the weight of hp/new accts which will end up denials for future accounts you could have snatched up.

Don't let anyone get to you about a app spree or coming out of the garden. It is your choice as to what you do. I was in the garden for a while then came out full force and went all out apping for way to many card. Coming to the forum does not help as it is tempting when you see the approvals makes me want to app. Right now I went back to the garden after taken the hit in scores and denials I will only come out this time if I absolutely have to.all my cards have been growing nicely. I learned the hard way to stay in the garden after a 20 point drop.

I don’t think Pway was trying to be rude. I have been here a short time and I used to post just like the OP. I said I would garden too. Yet, here I am with 30 inquiries. I made the mistakes Pway is trying to keep you from making.

You are learning and that is good. You might not like what Pway said but it is true. The only difference between gardening now versus after an app spree of low value cards is if you garden first, you can app as you see fit as your score increases and cherry pick the cards you want rather than take what you can get. If you hit it hard and all at once, the inquiries and new accounts will force you to garden and nobody wants to be forced to do anything. Keep the ball in your court and take your time. I think that is all that was trying to be conveyed.

Welcome to the forums by the way. Also, I would let your score come up a bit more before I went for anymore cards.

Most comments op has received here are good, but only if you look at the situation from a certain perspective. General rule of thumb, don't open too many new accounts very quick. Is this always true? Absolutely not! Coming from a rebuilding process, i will give you my experience. Last year April i had one open account reporting, a $500 Wells Fargo secured CC, couple closed accounts, and some baddies. Scores right around low low 500s. Even in august i was still hovering around 550's. February 2016, total accounts 35, total unsecure revolving credit line $70K+ Scores around 700's and approved for mortgage.

The difference between apping for a card now (if you think you have a high chance of getting it) and apping for it 6 months later is, you may get a little better SL 6 months later, but you will never take back the 6 months the card could have been reporting to the credit bureaus if you would have apped now. Higher credit limits, credit limit increases can always happen if/when you have the report, scores, and the income to support it. But one thing you can not add, or change is the time/age of the account. In my case, i decided to get everything i can, as soon as i can, regardless of the limits, and then let everything age together instead of adding a new account every 6 months. Now, slowly but surely, i am building a very solid, thick credit file that not even 5 inq's in one day effect my credit score. I am not telling you to go open 30 accounts tomorrow, but what i am trying to say is, unless you are planning on applying for a mortgage in the near future, do what you can now, and then sit back and watch your credit file grow slowly. I would rather have a $500 discover card with 6 months or 9 months of on time payment history then to have a new account with $2K limit 9 months later. CLI come and go, but you never take back the time you waited. Good Luck!

It's not worth the report ding you will get. Even if you did get approved for something it wouldn't be a ton. Gardening is your best friend but the choice is yours. Best of luck to the path you decide to take though!
