Citi Hilton HHonors Decline - Reconsideration?

Applied for this card and was declined - too many recent inquuiries. That's all. Called the reconsideration number and they said send an email as to why you think it should be reconsidered. Anyone ever done something like that before? Is it even worth it?

Nope not for that reason. Try again in 6 months and no apps until then. You could have an 800 credit score and citi will deny you for inquiries only. They're so fussy about them.

Theres a few members on here that have reconned with citi and have been successful. You took the HP, its worth a shot.

Citi is generally not known for impressive recon results. Having said that, most people feel that if you took the hard pull you may as well plead your case and try to get the card. Worst case scenario you still don't get it, in which case you're in the same boat you are now.

Worth a try, just don't expect much. Sending an email will only take a minute or two.

I agree with Skye, if it was a HP (probably from 2 different bureaus), then why not try it. The HP's have already been used, so you might as well go all out for it.
