NASA Credit Union Denial?? Security??

Got a update from NASA FCU they denied my application and sent my documents to the security department because apparently they think my Drivers License and Passport are fake because they said they cant Authenticate my Information and Identity.

Nasa can be very difficult when it comes to verification. You are not the only one who has reported denial due to verification.

Right. NASA can be quirky plus they have tightened a bit from last year. I had no issue obtaining membership last Sep/Oct (approved from the get-go). But, when I applied for their CC, they requested additional docs to verify ID (DL, utility bill, etc.) and POI. Once the docs were uploaded and verified, CC was approved within a few days. But, they are slooooow. So, if you really want in with NASA, bring lots of patience along the way.

Yea I sent my docs in and they already pulled my credit according to the rep. So ill just wait. Im not going to get my hopes up haha but it would be nice to get a approval

NASA can be a pain in the ass. You apply for things and it's so hard to get an answer, hard to check online because half the time there's no link.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Did they ask you questions about where you lived in the past, etc? I wouldn't take it as a "threat" from them.

Everytime I tell my brother-in-law about their security department with apps he laughs. lol

I am sooo not impressed with this cu. Slow and over the top as far as security. Want DL, SS card and utilty and then claimed can read SS card. Faxed it to myself very legible and rescanable.

I applied for a lowely savings account with them, and they asked for a copy of my license, social security card, a recent utility bill, and two most recent pay stubs... ALL NOTARIZED, or they wouldn't open the account.

I don't have time for that kind of nonsense.
