Buckle Preapproval letter...doesn't work! Help!

So my husband got a Preapproval letter for Buckle.com I handle all finances and credit card applications, mostly because he works when the customer service centers are open and doesn't have time or the ability to call while he's at work. Whenever we can we deal with them online and via chat so I can just do it all on his behalf without being told I'm not him. I know more about his finances than he does anyhow. Half the time he does call he has to ask me about his personal info. ANYHOW... He got this Preapproval letter for Buckle.com, we've never shopped there but don't mind having a card there as there is a store nearby and since it won't be hard inquiry what can it hurt. I've never gotten a Preapproval nor seen one for a store card, I've seen the pop up at checkout but never this. It says to accept the offer to go to Buckle.com/accept but when I do that it tells me the page doesn't exist. The only other option is to call and like I said they won't speak with me because I'm not him and he's rarely home and once he is it's like a nightmare getting him do make phone calls. He complains and gets really nasty about having to be bothered. Has anyone else ever gotten a letter like this? I have even tried different variations of the website and all I can see is how to apply, not a Preapproval area, I have a "Prescreen ID" that I have to enter so it's not just like they're saying apply, I have to enter this number so there must be a way somehow.

Never mind, I finally found a way to do it. The website given still doesn't work but I found another way to get what I needed to come up!

Even with a preapproval letter it is still a HP.

I've gotten a few letters now for Buckle, Loft and something else...They are SP, kind of treated like the popup. Guess it's something new that they are doing if you don't accept the popup. Cause I've shopped all 3 places that I got the letter for and closed the popup too. That's kind of cool I guess they want you to jump on it. I don't plan on doing anymore until they start sending me some bankcard offers instead of store cards lol I'm too full in that category and rarily get them rotated

I got one of those today fom Buckle/Comenity. I trashed it. Comenity also sent me on for HSN. I took the bait..and got a $1000 SL... no HP either!

I would stay away from Comenity they have zany post-approval tactics, you can Google how many people of varying credit backgrounds and FICOS who all reported having accounts approved, pre-approve, shopping cart trick, etc. and then have the accounts closed shortly after upon "further" review.......I will never do business with this bank or any of their affiliates.

I would only get one or two Comenity cards max.... but that being said OP is right-mailers are SP just like the SCT/Pop Ups are.
