Asking for a CLI on Citi Costco Visa

Has any one asked for a cli? I know it's going to be a hard pull, my Amex Costco always stayed at 1,200 since I had it back in 2011!!!! I am willing to take the hp, I already have aCiti Hilton Visa with 11.5k cl and a Citi Simplicity at 2,500. Just checking and will post my results.

No way for us to give you an answer that would be 100% correct. The best way to to go for the CLI and if denied they will give you the reason.

I requested a CLI after adding the Costco account to my Citi profile - I have an existing Simplicity card. The request page did not indicate that a HP would be made, the CLI was approved, and I haven't received any notifications of a HP yet. Note that I requested and was approved for a CLI on my Simplicity account within the last 30 days and that was not a HP either.

Interesting on my other two Citi cards the option of just putting in my income pops up, but for the Costco one it does state a HP would be needed. I bit the bullet and requested 10k. I will report back!

please do. and if they only partially approve your request, call their EO and ask for it to be reconsidered.

I called in since they also sent my husband his card with our last name mis-spelled! After a long 25 minute HOLD the rep did apologize but stated it was not approved and could not tell me why. I then asked well can I transfer some of the CL from my citi hilton or simplicity over? She said NO. Great... I wonder if calling the EO would help?

really dissapointed since this is my lowest limit card at 1,200 and Amex never ever game me luv on it, and here I am with Citi also same thing. I almost feel I should close it and apply again!!!

Can I ask when did you get approved for the Costco Visa? Did you request for CLI right after your approval? or after you activated your Costco visa card?

I was converted from the Costco AM-EX card so I didn't need to apply for the Costco Citi card. The new card carried the same CL as the old account, so I decided to request a CLI right after adding the card to my existing Citi accounts for on line access.

I asked for a CLI once I added the account. It was denied due to having a CLI in the past 6 months. I'm guessing that Citi is like AMEX, in that you can only get one CLI across all cards every 6 months. Oh well.

Was the denial instant? I ask because I requested a cli and I have not had a repsonse to it. Just an email stating they would let me know the results once they reviewed my request

I had the same problem, but a phone call to the EO took care of it. This was for my double cash opened 7/2015 with a credit line of 2400. I think by december all my CLI requests online were denied, so I phoned in. SP increase to 3800. Then I think by the end of january or early feb, I wanted to take a HP for an increase but it wouldnt let me online. Called the EO, requested 15k, countered with 10k. Took a 2 days to get back to me. Super super friendly.

SO's DP card was at 11.6k, requested online, via SP, asked for more with HP, asked for 20k, it came back with 16k. Phone call to EO, granted the full 20, and no HP for the prior process either.

I also requested CLI and got a reply that Citi will reply within 24 hrs. I haven't got any word on the increase.

I just called the EO office and what a great experience!!! First off I did not have to wait on hold for 30+ minutes. Nice lady took my info and stated that it has been crazy since the 20th, and apologized. She assured me they did not pull my report on the 20th, but would need to in order to have their credit department review.... I mentioned I would love to use the card but quite frankly my low cl will just divert me to use my Chase Freedom and bank on that 5% cash back! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I asked for 10k, I have average Cl with Amex/Chase/Citi that average from 6-11k so hoping for something close! The rep did tell me I might not hear back from her until Friday so crossing my fingers .
