I applied and got 7-10 day message. I just updated my pulls and got a hard pull on EQ. I read that Comenity takes their time on these cards. If I have to call that Executive Office again and explain that Equifax isn't Experian I'm going to need at least 4 vodka tonics.

I thought you were going to apply for ohter cards. Chase SW or Hawaiian Airlines Elite World MC. are also good airlines cards

I got Chase Marriott 3 months ago, Ink last month and Barclays just denied me for US Airways #2 and Lufthansa Miles & More cards. I just know I'm pushing it with Chase so I don't want to ask them for more cards for awhile. Barclays said I had the maximum allowable accts with them (I only have one). I thought about the Hawaiian card, but I think Barclays underwrites it.

Yes, they are good cards but you don't apply for Chase cards. They might close all your Chase credit cards like my friends. I don't think Barclays likes you.

Yup I tried for a second US Air card and got the same message, I think they are referring to having a US Air card already not your total cards with them...I have 4 so you have some room with them! LOL

True that Pres. NIXON......They like me BUT not that much....lucky I got what I got from them.....always a call in when apping with them.....

You may get a letter in 10 days or so saying to please call them to answer security questions. I did and received a $7,500 limit.

OMG I hate these people!!!! Of course nobody answers the phone at the "EO" these days so I dialed the regular number:

me: Hello, I would like to check the status of my application?

CSR: I'd be glad to help you with your request, when did you apply?

me: Yesterday

CSR: I'm sorry sir, but there would be no information in our computers for at least 5 business days

me: So even though I submitted an application through your website, you have no evidence for 5 days of me doing so?

CSR: Yes sir that's correct

me: So why don't I just mail in application if it takes 5 days?

CSR: Sir we don't accept mail in applications for this card.

me: But you force us to wait for your response by mail? I would like to speak to the individual you report to please.

CSR: I am the Manager

me: So you don't report to anybody?

CSR: I am the account Manager

me: Thank you, you've been the most unhelpful person I've spoken to yet

So I finally got through to someone at the EO. Word to the wise, now they are saying they have to follow the same protocols as their floor people (her word not mine) but could look up the application if they needed more info. She said no verification or anything was needed, the application just needs to be processed - but she didn't know if that meant by an underwriter or another one of their sophisticated computers....who knows.
