CSR - denied for 5/24 - no preapp in branch - apply anyway?

I was denied the CSR for 5/24 when applying online. Went into the branch - no approval.

Has anyone had any success applying for the card in branch without a preapproval?

Even some pre-approvals were denied at the branch so if you don't even have a pre-approval you shouldn't even consider applying at the branch, IMO.

I wouldn't bother wasting the HP, unless you applied today online and were already denied by recon. If you applied TODAY and was already denied, then you could try in the branch since you don't have anything to lose either way. However if you applied a different day, then don't reapply- it would just be a waste.

Yes I wouldn't bother wasting a HP unless that is a pre-approval. My BF went to a local branch and did not have any pre-approvals come up. He applied anyway for the CSR and was instantly denied.

I think it would be a waste. No prequal means you will be denied for 5/24 almost 100 percent certainly.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

I've PC'd my FU to CSR and will let my CR's rest for a bit until I get preapproved. At that time, I'll downgrade and try again.
