Initiating the Credit Limit Increase ball

As of August of this year my credit is all clear of baddies (YAY) except for one late in 2012 ( ). Which I didnt realize until I stopped recieving any CLI's on any of my cards, which is been over 2 years now since my last. Should I be considering pressing the luv button on any of my cards, to wake my sleeping increase dragon or just let them start to initiate giving me increases again ?

Capital One Quicksilver and Banana Republic Visa recieve all my activity now. Both limits are $4,000.

Capital One: Got the 2-3 day letter saying

· Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low (Not sure of this, seeing as though I think I've used atleast 50%-75% of the limit.)

Banana Republic: Used the love button and got a additional $1,000 increase.Tried to get a bigger increase through the chat and didn't work. Got the 7-10 day letter.

No reason yet. Probably because they thought I was being greedy. haha!

Capital One Quicksilver and Banana Republic Visa recieve all my activity now. Both limits are $4,000.

capital one you can request online (it's sp) and it will be instant if it's loaded in the computer... if you get 7-10 that's denied and you can leave it or go EO route for a manual review.

for your banana republic I would get online and start a chat (I believe it's available for that card) ask for a credit line increase and tell them you get an internet error when you try to request it yourself (they won't ask any questions then, they will process it) they will ask how much you want... I suggest you ask for $15k or even $25k... they will counter if they can't do the full amount... if they grant your request with no counter, you know you didn't ask for enough!!!

I can still learn something new every day when it comes to credit... I mean it was just like 2 weeks ago someone else introduced me to the chat from the boards... I just started stating the internet issue when I had some reps that didn't want to process the request for me via the chat!

Capital one will let you but 7-10 days is a def no.

Banana republic visa I didnt have a problem requesting it (soft pull) when I logged in, I mean they told me no but it wasnt a problem doing it lol

Since both these cards are soft pulls doing it wont hurt you so you may as well if you want to. Good luck!

I was told no by BR Visa after multiple times clicking the CLI button on my account summary page.... countless denial letters in the mail lol. Also, tried the chat once with the same result...rejection! Then after someone on the forums suggested I call the backdoor number I spoke to Credit Solutions and after a few moments on hold..... Success! CLI from $3500 to $7000

Most likely you won't have to go that far. My suggestion with Sync/GE is to ask for the CLI via chat and as others suggest aim high - $25,000. They will likely counter if you're eligible.

I went for the Banana Republic Increase and they gave me $1,000 increase. Kind of disappointing because I wanted a bigger increase for some camera equipment as a gift for Christmas. Should I call the backdoor number or is it one of those you get a increase and have to wait again situations ?

so... Start the chat, I was able to recently get a small credit line increase through the online request but going into the holidays I was hoping to make this my go to card and I wanted to see if you could consider the account for a larger credit line increase.

banana hasn't been very giving lately... my friend got a $1k counter when he did his request a couple weeks ago.

And I forgot to mention I was denied on my Capital One as well. Oddly it said " Your request has been recieved, check your account in 2-3 days, to see our decison". lol but I knew that was a denial as well.
