Barclay Apple Visa - What are my odds?!

Hey all,

I just checked TU FICO (686) I have a single 30 day late 0n 4/15 and high/ near max uti on 1 card (made large purchase & will pay off next month). How am I lookingfor a Barclay Apple Visa? Do you think I have a solid chance at approval? Any recent success out there? Heck any recent denials?

Your chances look good unless you have a bunch of recent inquiries; Barclays is overly jumpy about inquiries.

I have a similar TU score plus a few old baddies still reporting and I just got approved for this card the other day. I've tried Batclay before (not the Apple rewards) and got denied. I got a $2k starting limit.

I only have 3 left and they're all from 2009 / 2010. I'm about 6 months away from mostly clean reports. My TU is my cleanest because they removed my paid judgements where the other CB's just show them as paid. It's 686 as of today.

I was approved for the Apple card for 2K in January I think with a 604 and 1 6.5yr old CO and 90% utilization (didn't know anything about credit then.) This is one of the easier Barclay cards to get approved for, but I'd still wait for your payment to post and report to optimize your chances with a lower utilization.

I also got approved for this card about 6 months ago, with a 640 TU and 1 CO, very thin file. It was my first instant approval and I was ecstatic. Just a bit of warning with this card... be sure to read and fully understand the fine print. Pay attention to the deferred interest rate if u purchased an apple product, not only is it variable, but you MUST pay the entire amount IN FULL by that date or they will hit you with all of the interest since they say you purchased your beloved apple product. Not only that, but they apply any monthly payment towards other charges first. So essentially you will need a 0 balance by that deferred interest expiration date. My initial qualifying apple charges are around $1500. The interests rates for this card tend to be quite appalling for most. If I were to leave only a $1 balance by the expiration date, I would have to pay an additional $300 dollars for 12 months of interest accrued for my laptop. Check the statement, know that date and plan for when it comes, or you'll be sorry. The perks are GREAT, but everyone should be fully aware for what they are signing up for.

That should read: "since the day you purchased your beloved apple products" sorry I'm fairly new with this forum.
