Credit card suggestions needed

Hi, advice needed on increasin my credit score. As of now this is what my credit sccore is like:

598 TU/ 579 EQ

Baddage -- Paid/Charge off in Aug 2013(paid it in Jan2015)

Was out of country until this Jan. 2 denials in this month, Discover it Secured/Chase slate(not wanted to do it, but somehow let it in).

Got approval for primor® Secured Visa Classic Card. My primary intention is to increase my score to 700's in 2018. Planning to add one more Card. What other cards should I apply? Any suggestions.

What reason did Discocer give you for the secured Denial?

Are those TU and EQ your real fico scores or from Credit Karma?

Go to creditscorecard.com to get your EX FICO

Your scores are very low. Maybe since you have 1 card work on Disputes and gain 6 months of history with that one card.

The only other card I would even suggest besides Discover Secured is maybe CapOne. You can try their Pre-Qualify link. (Sorry you'll have to google it)

We all started off low like that... don't get discouraged.

Give us some more data points and maybe we can make better suggestions.

Your scores are pretty similar to mine when I started apping right after New Years. Depending on if you have any recent baddies, I would try the pre-qualified offers for CapOne and Credit One. If the offer gives you a set APR instead of a range APR like CapOne did for me, then it's worth a shot to apply. Once you start making payments on time and in full, you'll see a positive difference in your score. I did a ton of research for months before I finally found the guts to app and managed to get two cards to start with. Most importantly, set goals on how you want to use your cards.

Sorry those scores were from Credit Karma. These were my FICO Scores from EQ(532) and TU(528). Got this from my denial statements. creditscorecard.com somehow not able to pull my FICO score.

Reason for Denial:

Your credit report reflects delinquent accounts.

I would strongly suggest Cap One secured and another secured card from your bank or credit union. You can also do a secured loan to boost your fico. Then hit the garden for a year. Good Luck!

2. Then, if you get it, or if you get denied.... either way stop making new applications for 6 months, then check your FICO scores.

Sure. Will check it out for Capital one. Will stop my app spree after that and will work towards rebuilding my score

Deposit shouldnt be a problem.Not eligible for NFCU. I'm planning to do one more app, should I do Capital one or WF. My previous Delinquent is on WF.

I like WF cause you can secure all the up to $10K

Have you considered Boa secured? You can open an account with them and ask a banker to apply for you. It will graduate unlike cap one, although some folks have gotten their cap one unsecured.
