Venture One 7-10 day message

I applied for the Venture One card on Saturday, but received the 7-10 day message. I saw many people actually get approved after receiving a verification call from Capital One, but I didn't get a call. I called the application line today (Wednesday) and it says my application is currently being reviewed. Is this a good sign? I"m on the edge of my seat hoping it will get approved. I've been gardening my credit for a year now and was hoping I'd get it.

Additional Info: I decided to try my luck Saturday for a CLI on my Discover and QuickSilver One cards and received the 2-3 day message on both. By Tuesday I saw I was approved for a measley $500 on each.

No such thing as a measely $500 increase for Discover. Just look at it like its $500 you didnt have before .

Discover has been very stingy with CLIs with me. Or maybe it's becuse I dont use the bloody card enough. I would get $500 at a time. My goal was to keep requesting CLIs till I got the CL to over 5K. Once I got there I just stopped requesting. Its my lowest CL and only use it to charge small monthly recurring bills.

For a few months I was requesting it every 30 days and would get $500 each time. The last time I requested a CLI was maybe a month or two ago. That request came 2 months after the one before that and I got $500. I'm willing to bet if I used the card more the CLI would perhaps have been more. There was a time though that Discover was generous with their CLI. People rode that train right off the track. Then Discover said enough and kicked everyone off.

My Venture One back in August was a manual review, 2k SL and still at 2k today. CLI declined for too many inquiries. Oh well, Venture is at 26k so I can't complain.

Not sure how long the actual review part took. I didn't call to check on it. Didn't know I got it until the card showed up in the mail a couple of weeks later.

Congratulations, Trying37! The Venture is on my list for down the road. Do you know your SL and APR yet? Hope you get good terms!

My Venture SL was 15k and is now 26k. Venture One was 2k and is now 2k.

My SL is 2k APR a 20.49. I'm planning to use it and pif each month in hopes of getting a higher CLI later. From reviews, I've seen it go either way - some people are getting higher CLI with either one. I didn't try for Venture because it wasn't listed as an option for me when I went to Capital One's pre-approval site.

Wow. Well if they give me a hard time about increasing the limit, I may just have to apply for the Venture card like washpadude. Seems he had better luck with that card.

Venture One CLI has been denied multiple times. Sole reason, too many inquiries. I can't really complain, too many indeed.

I just applied for the venture one and got the same message. I'm almost positive that its verification. My quicksilver did the same thing in oct. I really hope to get approved as i'm going to be using it for a balance transfer.
