No VISA pre-approval

Hey All

Just wondering what may be wrong with me or my file.

All of my bankscore fico 8 are above 700

My profile as a whole is stronger that its been in a while ( 1 collection and 2 lates over 4 yrs old)

I constantly get Discover, Cap 1 MC, and AMEX business pre-approvals mailers but I have yet to receive any VISA offers.

I first started getting mailers about 8 or 9 months ago.

Have I somehow opted out of VISA and not know it?

You can't just opt of Visa offers. It's either all prescreened credit offers or none. It may be that those card companies that offer Visa cards just hasn't sent out any to you. More importantly preapprovals are quite overrated in my opinion. For one, they are anything but guarantees that you will definitely be approved and second, many people get approved for cards that never show any preapproved offer. Your best bet is to research any card that you are interested in and get an idea of the scores needed to be approved. Good resources for this are the credit pulls database (you'll need to Google it as we can't link that site here) and of course the MyFICO forums.

Capital One wants your business, they just don't issue visas anymore. Hit them up. Is there a business or retailer you deal with that accept Visa only and not MasterCard?

If you have a 700 score with baddies you probably can get a Chase Freedom and that is a solid Visa card

Cap 1 changed venture and venture one from MC to Visa sig again.
