Discover CLI question

I know being on here for two years I should know this but....

I requested a CLI on my Discover card and got a two day message.

The other three times I tried I got 2 instant increases and a denial instantly.

Wasn't sure what the 2 day thing meant

All the 2-day means is that a HUMAN is looking it over before approve/deny. Depending on your timing and if your profile improved it's usually a good thing to see this message.

For me, the 2-day message resulted in a substantial increase 90% of the time.

I've had 2 day messages come back with approvals for several thousand dollars as well as denials for not enough experience with current credit limit. The denials all thus far have come when requesting monthly; I've since moved to bi-monthly and am hopeful that this will help with future CLIs and more favorable 2-day message results.

BBS - that reminds me... now that you got those $0/$500/$0's out of your system aren't you coming up on your next attempt? or is it next month?

Next month. My denial was at the beginning of Feb, so I'm skipping the attempt I would be making now and shooting for the beginning of April. I always like to request on the first Monday of the month, don't know why, which would put me at April 3rd

My 2-day message resulted in an $1,500 increase. It showed up about 5 hours later.
