Gap Card Application Online Message

Hey,

I applied for the Gap Card and received a messaged that says...

"Thank you for applying for the Gap Credit Card. You're almost done. Please call 888-378-8680 within the next 48 hours to complete your application. For your records your reference # is ********. If we do not hear from you within that timeframe you will receive a written communication from us within the next 7-10 business days."

It then gives the hours to call. I just opened an Amazon and Walmart card yesterday through Synchrony as well.

MY QUESTION....

Is this just pretty much having me call in to tell me I'm denied so they don't have to mail me a letter?

(didn't know if this went under Applications or Approvals since It didn't tell me my result after I App'd)

CALL THEM! I was thinking the same as you after getting that.

They just want to make sure it's you before approval

It happened to me after applying for 3 Synchrony cards at the same time. The 4th and 5th cards had the same message and I got approvals on both. There is some chance of denial I suppose but it worked for me 2 X.

You will need that reference number when you call

I'll call them when they open in the morning. Hopefully the person who answers had a good breakfast and coffee. I'll update you on what they say.

I did a screenshot of the page so I know I'm calling the correct number. Should I call Credit Solutions?

888 378 8680 was number given does anyone have a credit solutions number that works?

I know I'm quoting myself like a crazy person lol but if anyone has the problem like I had with the number getting disconnected, call this number 800 887 1198 and just be patient and don't enter anything since you don't have a card number yet and it takes you to customer service and the nice lady rerouted me to an applications person. The application person was able to verify number by calling my home phone and sending me a text to my cell phone and I was approved!!!!!!!
