Chase double app with same HP?

Is it possible to app for two credit cards from chase with just one HP? I was looking at the disney premier and chase amazon prime visa? Thanks

Yup it sure is, let us know how it goes for you. I've double app Chase twice. Got 4 CC's on two pulls.

Yep it's possible. I got my united and marriott with one pull and my southwest and IHG with one pull.

Thanks for the replies, i have a bk on file so from what ive seen here is that i would have to recon both apps. I froze my experian since i don't want any inquiries there since pretty much all banks like to pull that report. Do you guys think they will pull a different bureau or will i have to thaw my file in order to app? Thanks

What's the trick to getting 2 cards with 1 pull? Just submitting 2 apps at the same exact time (2 browsers)?

They pulled EX and EQ for my apps. (Mod Edit)
How old is the BK? I'm not sure adverse Chase is to BKs.

Open two different browsers ..Say Chrome and Mozilla. App for the one you want the most first. Wait about 60 seconds and then app for the other.
If you app using the same browser. It can sometimes give an error message on the second app. Or it will show the info for the first app instead of the second app.

The BK is discharged from 12/14 i have seen an approval from 15 month post bk for the amazon visa but nothing for the disney visa. You dont think they will pull a different bureau? Or they will just deny of EX is frozen.

It's a toss up. Sometimes they will pull a different CB. And sometimes they'll request you unfreeze the one they want to pull. It could go either way.

Is there a reason for waiting the 60 seconds? I would think the faster the better, no?

I was just giving a nice round number. The first time I did it. I did them back to back. One was instant and the other went 7 to 10 days. I was eventually approved. The second time I double apped, I waited a minute or so and then hit it again. Both were instant approvals.

There are members here that double app several hours apart on the same day. Both apps were still counted as a single pull.

Understood. Thanks for the info. What is the theory behind why they only get you with one pull? Does the system simply already see they have a recent pull on you so it uses the same one? Just trying to understand how this workaround is successful.

That's my best guess when it comes to what their system sees. I'd go as far to say the HP is probably good atleast for 24 hours. Also the CBs may detect a double pull and delete one of them.
I double apped Capital one in the past, TU showed two pulls for roughly 24 hours before the system deleted one.

I finally decide to try and applied for both the disney premier visa and the amazon prime visa and they both went pending with a 30 days message? When i try to call the status line its asks for my social and once i put it in it says its going to transfer me to an agent. What you guys think should i wait it out? Why doesn't it say that they received the app and it will take 30 days to review?

I feel like the 2 apps off of on inquiry thing is a decent move to make if you really want 1 Chase card with a nice limit but apply for 2 cards with the sole intent of transferring the limit from the one you don't really want to the one you want with the higher limit. For example, say someone wants the Amazon Visa with a nice limit.

Option 1, they can apply for the Amazon Visa, likely taking 1 inquiry. Say they get approved for $5k. They then call the backdoor number and recon the limit, giving up another inquiry and say doubling their limit to $10k. End result is the card they want with around the limit they want with 2 inquiries.

Option 2, they apply for the Amazon Visa and another Chase card that they don't care about. In this example a card like the CSP would be smart as it usually comes with a decent SL. In this example the person takes 1 inquiry and hopefully gets both apps off of that single inquiry. Say they get approved with a $5k limit on the Amazon Visa but also a $10k limit on the CSP. They could move the CSP limit to the Amazon Visa and immediately close the CSP and the end result is the card they want with a 50% higher limit than in the previous example with possibly 1 inquiry instead of 2. The only negative to this method that I see is that there could be a slightly greater AAoA reduction.

Any thoughts on Option 2 here verses Option 1?

When I did the double apps. That's exactly what my plans were. I collected all my sign up bonuses. And combined two of my cards. The Disney Premier gave a decent SL with bonus. I moved the Disney limit to one of my other cards and closed it. For two hard pulls (within a 90 day period) I added $41k in available credit with Chase. Not too shabby when all I had was a $1500 limit over 8 years with no increases from them.

Those INQs will fall off this year and have already passed the 12 month mark of affecting my scores. I have no need to request any more CLIs from Chase. I did the same with Capital one. I call it the "Go ahead and get it and quit it method"! Lol

OP two 30 day messages doesn't sound good. If one were 30 days I'd say you'd probably get it with verification. Two 30 days isn't a good sign.

Gmood1, I was actually expecting a flat out denial since i have a BK reporting but i thought i may have a chance but we will see. I will be waiting til monday to see what happens. Thanks though for all your advice its much appreciated.

Yeah, Chase sometimes drags out the denials. I hope you do to get. You'll know if they call you for verification or you receive a letter to call them for verification. That means you're approved. They just want to make sure you are you. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks but now that i think of it. My EX is frozen so it may be that they didnt even pull a report and would want me to unfreeze. I havent received any alerts for the other two beurau's so we will see, thanks again
