Chase "selected for you" offers preapproved?

Chase just asked me for my updated income which i filled out today. Immediately upon logging in, I had two "selected for you" offers. One for freedom, one for slate.

I'm ALWAYS on the lookout for good 0% apr cards so I wouldn't mind either. However, my question is are these "selected for you" legit? Or may I not get them?

Also - are the Starting limits on these pretty low? I have 25k limit on my CSP currently with <2000 util. I keep reading about freedom and slates with sub 10K limits, and like, even a 10K limit is useless to me. So I don't want to bother if they are very low, so any info would be awesome.

It's based on your income and your profile. No one can tell you how much you will get. There are people with Slate and Freedom with high CL's and many with less than 10K (like me ).

But I assume this counts as basically a preapproval even if i'm way over the 5/24?

Does either the freedom/freedom u/slate have a historically higher SL?

I don't want to app spree.

Chase Sapphire Preferred & Regular Freedom. Don't need them.

Mine showed up today too and now I see what others were talking about when they said it had to have the green checkmark.

I'm surprised I got it though because I'm definitely over the 5/24. I'm at 6/24 and that's why I'm in the garden. But I'm staying in the garden so no applying for me. Now, if it had been a SP, you wouldn't have been able to stop me from pulling the trigger.

This is my second 0% offer this month from a CCC -- the first one from NFCU. I'm feeling pretty good about my credit profile that they're coming to me.

CreditInspired, just as a DP the Chase offers with a green check mark are solid and override the 5/24 rule. You're in the garden but if youre wanting something they've got to offer you then go for it.

Thanks Vooreskie for the DP. I just sent them a SM this morning asking if they would do a SP. Got a SM back that they forwarded my email to a credit analyst and would get back with me within 7 days. Really? 7 days. I'm going to call them later in the day.

I have gotten the offers as well but I'm reading here that the green checkmark will override the 5/24 rule????

To the OP, avoid the Slate, because it offers nothing but a 0% BT, no points or anything else.

That is my understanding the check mark will override the 5/24....so I am waiting for one of these, and in branch approval, or mailer with a code(?)...

That makes me itch with anticipating an app for the CSP, but I really haven't a use for it, nor do I want another HP.

Interesting. I am far and above the 5/24 rule, but I have offers with green checks for the CSP, Slate, and Unlimited cards. Plus a auto refinance offer.

I really don't need any of that, but I didn't know they'd override the 5/24. I thought that was pretty set in stone.

Although I do wonder what I could get on the Slate... just to transfer the limit over to my Freedom. The wimpy $2200 CL on my Freedom is a little annoying.

Yep...there are tons of people on here have reported being well over 5/24 and getting approved if there was a pre-approval online or a in-branch approval...I pretty much check everyday...even though I know I need to wait...might swing by the branch to make a couple in person deposits and just check since my understanding about in-branch approvals is they are done monthly...

I have a 2200 limit on my Freedom and it just bothers me that if I tried for a CLI, they'd wanna hit me with a HP... I, at one time, wanted to merge my Slate into the Freedom but they'd only move 1k and would still leave the Slate open with a $500 limit... I'll wait til next year to try for the CSP.

Also, they're showing a 20.49% APR on my offer for the CSP, is y'alls similar?
