AmEx PRG prescreen

I just recieved a prescreen offer for the AmEx PRG with a 50000 pt sign up after 2k spend after 3 months. I wondering if I should take it. The 50000 points would be useful for a trip my wife and I are palnning for this fall. Im just unsure being its a charge card. Meeting the spend isnt a problem, Im just leary being its a charge card.

Any thoughts or advice?

Its the highest bonus I've seen. I did a bit of research and being a cardmember already, I decided to apply (yeah, I know. I fell out of the garden) because it seemed like a really good offer. Twice what shows on Amex.com. I fully expected to get denied which I wasn't worried about because it would have only been a soft pull. Low and behold I got approved! I was astounded. Apparently a 707 EX was good enough with only 7 months of history. Thankfully the 2K in 3 months will be easy between rent and building a new file server with my brother which will allow for some major savings on a trip me and my wife are taking this fall.

I just can't get over that fact I was actually approved. Luck be a lady tonight I guess.

Also, no alert from myfico on a hard pull yet. Did I just get a soft pull Charge card? Hard pulls have always shown up instantly.

Congrats! IME its softs for existing members. I have 5 amex cards and only 1 HP ever. So you got a great card with no HP (kept one foot in the garden)!. I'm Jealous of your bonus, I got 35K/ 2K spend. Good Going!!

I have 2 Amex cards and got HP for both. How did you manage that? Is it a timing thing?

Would also like to know if this is true. Just recieved my BCE card a few days ago and looking to get a PRG.

Ive read you can get a credit and charge card from the same pull if done within a couple days. Im assuming they were at different times?

Im confused myself since I havent gotten an alert for the HP. I got the BCP back in Feb and considering the time difference, I fully expected a HP because of the approval. Maybe its because I got a targeted offer?

You could go for it. If denied it definitely wont be a hard pull. There are several sources here and elsewhere supporting such.
