Inqs: Tons due too car shopping , and identity fraud

Existing CITI BACKED CARDS: MyBestBuyVisa (5K) , Macys Amex (16.5K)

Called EO office got a nice gentlemen who understood my concerns. Gave me his comtact info. Just wondering if you guys think I will be approved.

I applied for the Citi Hilton Reserve about 3 months ago and was denied due to a BK on my report. I called the EO and spoke to a very nice and helpful woman. She took my info and asked a few questions, then sent my request on up the chain. I was ultimately denied as they held fast to the BK being my reason for denial. FWIW, I was approved for the Citi Costco in June 2016. I assume they were trying to rope in new customers when that card became available and my BK wasn't an issue due to looser underwriting at that time.

Do you know why you were initially denied?
